Blue Nose Friends Story
Night time had swiftly approached and it was Tatty Teddy's bedtime. Just as he was wishing the Moon goodnight, a shooting star darted across the sky. He squeezed his eyes shut and made his nightly wish that he wasn't the only one in the world with a blue nose. It wasn't that he was unhappy being a very special little bear, but it was lonely sometimes. Drifting into a deep sleep, he dreamed that he was back at the old abandoned house where he was first found, cold, alone and helpless. Everything outside appeared just as he remembered when he was left there. However, in his dream it all became very different. As he peered through the doorway he saw that the little house was bathed in a warm glow from the log fire in the hearth and looked so welcoming. He was sure he could hear a muffled little sound, almost like a giggle, and he took a small step forward but couldn't see anything. Once inside he saw an old wardrobe and he felt sure the giggling sound was coming from there. Curious and excited, he approached and gave the door a gentle tug.As the old wooden door slowly creaked open he jumped back in surprise and stared wide-eyed in amazement... From the darkness of the wardrobe he could now see lots of little smiling faces, all peering straight at him! First he noticed noses...
...they were all blue!
Then he saw patches...they were just like his! There was a cat, a dog, a rabbit...in fact just about every kind of creature he could think of, all with lovely blue noses just like his. He knew he was dreaming and he didn't want it to end. He squeezed his eyes tightly shut, trying to stay asleep just a little longer. It really was the most wonderful dream and as he reluctantly stirred awake, he wished with all his heart that the next time he drifts off to sleep he will see them all again...
...and, if he does, maybe this time he will say.... "Hello, My Blue Nose Friends".
